Currently it only has a: Recommends: xine-ui (= 0.99.5+cvs20070914-2), xine-console (= 0.99.5+cvs20070914-2) which should instead be: Depends: xine-ui (= 0.99.5+cvs20070914-2) | xine-console (= 0.99.5+cvs20070914-2) And any other package for which it provides debug symbols should also be ORed as a dependency. This because installing xine-dbg without installing any other *xine* package is useless. By the way, you should also clarify this part of the package description: > This package contains debug symbols for the xine frontends xine, > aaxine, cacaxine, fbxine. Please install them to create meaningful > backtraces when reporting bugs. The last "them" isn't very clear on whether it refers to the -dbg package or the frontends (of course is the former, but it should be clearer).
