Last time I tried (2 weeks ago or something) gtkmathview was not
"buildable" with gcc 4.2, that's why I've explicitly forced the build
with gcc-4.1. The quotes are because the package is per se indeed
buildable with gcc 4.2, but the generated code segfaults.

Apparently the segfault is intimately related with gcc 4.2: the code
generated for templates, which are heavily used in some part of
gtkmathview's code, seems to be buggy and caused a segfault while
internally destructing an object. This is all IIRC, the upstream author
(Cc-ed) can give you more details about that if you or someone else are
willing to investigate/help.

I haven't tried with gcc-snapshot.
