I packaged rote some time ago when I intended to package anyterm as well. Anyterm has been superseded and rote is apparently not maintained anymore upstream. In any event Anyterm has been superseded by better alternatives, so I do not intend to maintain rote any more, nor do I have any interest in taking over upstream.
