It's just being talkative, so far as I can tell.  This problem is fixed
upstream, but among a large set of various changes for later Linux
kernels, making it hard to extract exactly the deltas that fix this
problem.  I'm hoping for a release candidate of 1.4.7 soon, which will
include fixes for this and several other issues.
