Package: cdw Version: 0.3.3-2 Severity: important --- Please enter the report below this line. ---
cdw uses cdrecord for burning. I have installed cdrecord package that provide symlink to wodim. But I was not able to setup my external cdrw drive connected over USB. K3B works without problems and in the debug message can be found: ... cdrecord command: ----------------------- /usr/bin/X11/wodim -v gracetime=2 dev=/dev/scd0 speed=16 -dao driveropts=burnfree -eject -data -tsize=77321s - ... Instead of it in cdw.log is: Time: 1202247363 cdrecord -v speed=52 dev=2,0,0 blank=fast wodim: Operation not permitted. Warning: Cannot raise RLIMIT_MEMLOCK limits.scsidev: '2,0,0' scsibus: 2 target: 0 lun: 0 WARNING: the deprecated pseudo SCSI syntax found as device specification. Support for that may cease in the future versions of wodim. For now, the device will be mapped to a block device file where possible. Run "wodim --devices" for details. Linux sg driver version: 3.5.27 Unable to open this SCSI ID. Trying to map to old ATA syntax. This workaround will disappear in the near future. Fix your configuration. It looks like wodim does not like some of paramaters of cdrecord. "wodim --devices" gives on my machine: wodim: Overview of accessible drives (2 found) : ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 0 dev='/dev/scd0' rwrw-- : 'Slimtype' 'DVDRW SOSW-852S' 1 dev='/dev/hdc' rwrw-- : 'MATSHITA' 'DVD-ROM SR-8177' ------------------------------------------------------------------------- --- System information. --- Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux 2.6.23-1-686 Debian Release: lenny/sid 600 testing www.debian-multimedia.org 600 testing gd.tuwien.ac.at 500 unstable gd.tuwien.ac.at 400 stable security.debian.org --- Package information. --- Depends (Version) | Installed ====================================-+-==================== genisoimage | 9:1.1.6-1 libc6 (>= 2.7-1) | 2.7-6 libcdio7 | 0.78.2+dfsg1-2 libncursesw5 (>= 5.6+20071006-3) | 5.6+20080105-1 wodim | 9:1.1.6-1 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
