Package: quilt Version: 0.46-4 Severity: wishlist A discussion on -devel pointed me to this svn-centric script to convert dpatch patches to quilt patches. Though not a fully general tool, I'm quite sure it will be helpful to many of us. Can you please consider shipping it in the quilt package, under /usr/share/doc/quilt/examples or something such?
Here is the link: http://svn.debian.org/wsvn/pkg-perl/scripts/dpatch2quilt?op=file&rev=0&sc=0 Also this link, with a doc on how to do the conversion can contain useful material to be shipped as doc: http://blog.orebokech.com/2007/08/converting-debian-packages-from-dpatch.html Many thanks in advance, Cheers. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.24-1-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=it_IT.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=it_IT.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages quilt depends on: ii bzip2 1.0.4-3 high-quality block-sorting file co ii diffstat 1.45-2 produces graph of changes introduc ii gawk [awk] 1:3.1.5.dfsg-4 GNU awk, a pattern scanning and pr ii gettext 0.17-2 GNU Internationalization utilities ii mawk [awk] 1.3.3-11 a pattern scanning and text proces ii patch 2.5.9-4 Apply a diff file to an original quilt recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
