(This upload is needed for the forthcoming meshlab package.)
There isn't really much point me sending a specific patch for this
NMU, as that doesn't make sense in the context of a new upstream
version. I hope the new .diff.gz and the information I'm now
providing are sufficient.
The changelog entry says:
lib3ds (1.3.0-0.1) unstable; urgency=medium
* New upstream version 1.3.0. Closes: #463108.
Upstream example now builds due to upstream changes, Closes: 309417.
* Build with -fPIC on amd64. Closes: #317242.
and this is an accurate description of what's needed. The patches
I've applied are those in those bug reports. I didn't fix the
underquoted macro name bug since it isn't currently actually breaking
anything.
