This is an appropriate action. It had been my intention to declare my intent to orphan within the next month. I had hoped that Matthieu would be able to do one more package upload, but this seems unlikely. I have updated the package for the latest release of u++ (5.5.0); the updated package resolves the outstanding Debian bugs. My apologies to the community for not having sought out a more responsive uploader. The latest revision of the package is available at http://plg.uwaterloo.ca/~uSystem/pub/uSystem/debian/ I no longer have the time or resources to continue maintaining the package, but I'm happy to provide advice to a new maintainer.
