Hi, I would like to suggest a move of the hack mentioned in original bug report to update-grub, to /etc/grub.d/05_debian_theme or similar. The idea is to provide an easy way to change the grub2 background (including with those provided in grub2-splashimages) for those that have a "hidden" /usr (not only !). Why not using a variable in /etc/default/grub that, if not present would let the background be debian-blueish-wallpaper and if present would choose and copy one of the backgrounds from grub2-splashimages ?
