The build configuration option YUV_420_USE_YV12 allows selection
between the YUY2 and YV12 pixel formats for "YUV" pixels, which is
significant to clients but is not directly visible in dv.h. Clients
must either assume that the default (YUY2) is used, or support both
options and use some complex test or manual build option to determine
which format is used.

The pixel format should be defined in dv.h, or better still made a
run-time option.
