Package: bitlbee Version: 1.0.4-1 Severity: normal User: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Usertags: origin-ubuntu hardy
Hi, In https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bitlbee/+bug/75990 it was reported that installation of bitlbee fails if update-inetd is not available. The fix that was uploaded to Ubuntu was not strictly correct (I have just submitted a new fix). The correct fix is for bitlbee to add "openbsd-inetd | inet-superserver" to it's Depends. That will ensure that update-inetd is available. If you do not wish to make this a hard dependency then declare another relationship and change the postinst to only call update-inetd if it is available.
