Package: scite
Version: 1.71-1
Severity: wishlist

Note that this is NOT the same as #466079, though they have similarities.

Since scite does not attempt to center the cursor after a "find" operation,
it can be hard to find the cursor. You have to visually search the entire
window. This slows down the user for a second or two.

It could be better!

There are two reasonable ways to help the user find the cursor faster:
1) Temporarily make it blatantly obvious, or
2) Always put it near the middle so that the user knows where to look.

I'd suggest #1: I'd do something like a colored crosshair that points
out the found text, lasting for about 0.2 seconds. Something obvious,
but short enough so that it it gone by the time the user's eyes have
moved to the cursor.
