Also, a simple rebuild is not enough. Updating to the 0.7.0 release from http://wejp.k.vu/projects/xmms2/ seems to work for me. uupdate reports quite a few conflicts, but they all seem to be due to the Debian patches having been merged upstream. I had to tweak debian/*.install a bit though.
