I've noticed recently in amarok (xine backend) that playing gapless media such as ogg/vorbis and certain mp3s inserts gaps between tracks. I've tried playing them with xine by itself with the same problem. XMMS2 and Aqualung both play the exact same files gaplessly. This is a regression because those same tracks used to be played gaplessly by amarok/xine. I'm not sure what the cause was but I think libxine1 was recently upgraded. I've given this a severity of "important" mostly because it's a regression but also because it's extremely annoying but feel free to disagree.
