Package: rt73-source Version: 1:1.0.3.6-cvs20071123-dfsg1-3 Severity: important Tags: fixed-upstream
Today I tried out a self-built 2.6.24 kernel, and "ifup wlan0" failed with the message "SIOSSIFFLAGS: Invalid argument". The issue had been discussed upstream on http://rt2x00.serialmonkey.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4558, and the serialmonkey developers fixed the problem, as I can confirm. Kudos for your update-orig.sh script, I used that to build a new Debian package. Unfortunately, the patch 002_fix_probe_crash.diff did not apply any more, so I disabled it for the moment. But otherwise the driver seems to work fine, I'm using it right now for my Internet connection. :-) BTW, bug #462831 (load average 2.0 or higher) seems to be fixed as well: ,---- | $ uptime | 21:32:24 up 17 min, 2 users, load average: 0.08, 0.06, 0.08 `---- It would be great if you could package a new CVS snapshot. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.24.3 Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages rt73-source depends on: ii bzip2 1.0.4-3 high-quality block-sorting file co ii module-assistant 0.10.11.0 tool to make module package creati ii yada 0.54 Yet Another Debianisation Aid Versions of packages rt73-source recommends: ii rt73-commo 1:1.0.3.6-cvs20071123-dfsg1-3 RT73(RT2571W) Wireless Lan Linux D -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
