Severity: important
Tags: fixed-upstream

Today I tried out a self-built 2.6.24 kernel, and "ifup wlan0" failed
with the message "SIOSSIFFLAGS: Invalid argument". The issue had been
discussed upstream on
http://rt2x00.serialmonkey.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4558, and the
serialmonkey developers fixed the problem, as I can confirm.

Kudos for your update-orig.sh script, I used that to build a new Debian
package. Unfortunately, the patch 002_fix_probe_crash.diff did not
apply any more, so I disabled it for the moment. But otherwise the
driver seems to work fine, I'm using it right now for my Internet
connection. :-)

BTW, bug #462831 (load average 2.0 or higher) seems to be fixed as well:

,----
| $ uptime
| 21:32:24 up 17 min, 2 users, load average: 0.08, 0.06, 0.08
`----

It would be great if you could package a new CVS snapshot.
