/usr/ is guaranteed to be available for those that depend on $remote_fs, and during shutdown, those depending on $remote_fs get to run before sendsigs kill their daemon. > The services that users write using userv may depend on other things, > and because they are invoked via userv, they aren't explicitly > started. How is all this supposed to work ? I suspect it will work just fine if you depend on $remote_fs and $syslog, as it provide a working system when the userv is running. Not sure it need anything more. My talk from FOSDEM a few days ago is linked in from the wiki page. I recommend listening to it and checking the slides if you want more info on how this work.
