Package: postgresql-autodoc Version: 1.30-2 Severity: important
When running with the following version of libdbd-pg-perl, handling of the "foreign key" section of postgresql-autodoc fails [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/tmp> dpkg -l libdbd-pg-perl | grep ii ii libdbd-pg-perl 2.1.3-3 Perl DBI driver for the PostgreSQL database server [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/architecture/contacts> /usr/bin/postgresql_autodoc -d newcontacts -h localhost -p 5433 -u cbbrowne -s public DBD::Pg::st execute failed: ERROR: invalid input syntax for integer: "ARRAY(0x84978fc)" DBD::Pg::st fetchrow_hashref failed: no statement executing (and similar errors, with different values for the ARRAY(), every time autodoc discovers a foreign key) Graphs and diagrams are successfully generated, after this, however they lack data about foreign keys, which significantly degrades usability. It seems likely to me that a proper resolution to this is to indicate a version dependancy in postgresql-autodoc for version 1.49 of libdbd-pg-perl. Note: I have reported the issue upstream to the author (Rod Taylor, [EMAIL PROTECTED]); there should eventually be an updated version of autodoc that accomodates newer versions of DBD::Pg, but I think that there will be some degree of version dependancy that isn't presently expressed in the packaging. Note, I have been able to successfully work around the matter by downgrading to version 1.49-5 of libdbd-pg-perl. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.22-1-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages postgresql-autodoc depends on: ii libdbd-pg-perl 1.49-5 Perl DBI driver for the PostgreSQL ii libhtml-template-perl 2.9-1 HTML::Template : A module for usin ii libterm-readkey-perl 2.30-3 A perl module for simple terminal ii perl 5.8.8-12 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction Versions of packages postgresql-autodoc recommends: ii chimera2 [www-browser] 2.0a19-5 Web browser for X ii dia 0.96.1-6 Diagram editor ii dia-gnome 0.96.1-6 Diagram editor (GNOME version) ii dillo [www-browser] 0.8.6-2 Small and fast web browser ii docbook-defguide [docbo 2.0.17+svn7549-2 DocBook: The Definitive Guide - HT ii elinks [www-browser] 0.11.3-4 Advanced text-mode WWW browser ii epiphany-gecko [www-bro 2.20.3-1 Intuitive GNOME web browser - Geck ii galeon [www-browser] 2.0.4-1 GNOME web browser for advanced use ii graphviz 2.16.1-2 rich set of graph drawing tools ii iceape-browser [www-bro 1.1.8-2 Iceape Navigator (Internet browser ii iceweasel [www-browser] 2.0.0.12-1 lightweight web browser based on M ii konqueror [www-browser] 4:3.5.9.dfsg.1-1 KDE's advanced file manager, web b ii links2 [www-browser] 2.1pre33-1 Web browser running in both graphi ii lynx [www-browser] 2.8.6-2 Text-mode WWW Browser ii w3m [www-browser] 0.5.1-5.1+b1 WWW browsable pager with excellent ii xemacs21-mule [www-brow 21.4.21-2 highly customizable text editor -- ii xemacs21-nomule [www-br 21.4.21-2 highly customizable text editor -- -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
