I can't really change the version of glibc that the auto-builders build with, they just take the one from unstable. So I see two options to fix this problem: 1- get this bug fixed in glibc 2- create a backport of the package on Etch If you need help building the package on your Etch box, let me know and I'll write some quick instructions.
