Package: gnumeric Version: 1.8.1-1 Severity: normal If I try to save a document to a specific xls file type, and I'm using a currency cell format with certain currency symbols, the currency format will be corrupted when I try to reload the document - a "latin small letter a with grave" character will get appended to the currency format. Furthermore, more such characters will get added on every subsequent save.
This bug happens when I try to save to "MS Excel (tm) 97/2000/XP" format and "MS Excel (tm) 97/2000/XP & 5.0/95" format. It does not happen with "MS Excel (tm) 5.0/95" format. It occurs when using the "Yen", "Pound", and "Euro" currency symbols, but not with the "Dollar" sign or any of the other ones like "CAD" or "TWD". Steps to reproduce: - Create new workbook - Enter a number in a cell (for instance "10" in A1) - Change the cell format of A1 (Ctrl+1) - For Number, choose "Currency" category, and choose "Euro" (f.e.) - Save the document as "MS Excel (tm) 97/2000/XP" file type - Close the document and reload. - ... for additional corruption save it again immediately after reloading. At this point the corruption will also be visible in OO Calc.
