Package: wfrench Version: 1.2.3-2 Severity: wishlist
The french wordlist suffers from the same problem than described in bug 437719. A quick and easy fix would simply be to call "recode l1..u8" in build-stamp (same fix than in the wspanish package). Maybe it would be cleaner to modify diacrit7to8.l, but it's a bit more work.
