Package: hercules Severity: wishlist There has not been a new release yet, but when there is please consider adding a build dependency on libcap-dev and running configure with: --enable-capabilities
This will make hercules drop unneeded privileges in hercifc (and hercules itself) when run setuid root. If that is not done yet, I would also suggest installing hercifc with setuid by default as that should now be safe enough.
