Hi Oswald, Thanks for the bug report and investigation. Indeed the problem would be with python-wxversion. However, python-wxversion contains both /usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/wx.pth and /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/wx.pth both symlinks to /usr/lib/wx/python/wx.pth which in turn is an alternative managed by python-wxgtk2.n post install script.
After upgrading a fair amount of machines (unstable then testing) I didn't notice the same problem nor could reproduce it. A reinstall of python-wxversion and python-wxgtk2.6 should get rid of the problem for you, though I've no idea of the root cause -- Michel Casabona
