When you use the -t option to choose a different archive when installing a 
metapackage, only the 
metapackage itself is installed from the selected archive. Its dependencies - 
the ones that matter in this case - are installed from the default 
archive, so the option is pretty useless here.
Instead, aptitude should e.g. also install dependencies from the specified 
archive.
