When I run Debian mkvmerge -i on a srt file, I get:
$ mkvmerge -i vdrRUNNING_OUT_OF_TIME_2006-03-15_11_03\[889\].srt
Error: File vdrRUNNING_OUT_OF_TIME_2006-03-15_11_03[889].srt has unknown type.
Please have a look at the supported file types ('mkvmerge --list-types') and
contact the author Moritz Bunkus <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> if your file type is
supported but not recognized properly.
On the other hand, vanilla mkvmerge (same upstream version, built from
mkvtoolnix_2.0.2.orig.tar.gz) runs fine:
$ ~/freeware/mkvtoolnix-stuff/mkvtoolnix-2.0.2-vanilla/src/mkvmerge -i
vdrRUNNING_OUT_OF_TIME_2006-03-15_11_03\[889\].srt
File 'vdrRUNNING_OUT_OF_TIME_2006-03-15_11_03[889].srt': container: SRT
Track ID 0: subtitles (SRT)
I guess that something in debian packaging breaks mkvmerge (but I
cannot find what ...)
