Package: tsocks Version: 1.8beta5-8 Severity: normal I think the fix to bug 373642 is working for me, except that every connection to a host:port that is desired to fall through to the real connect method issues a warning message:
> telnet www.google.com.au 80 Trying 64.233.189.147... 12:25:36 libtsocks(7032): Connection needs to be made via default server but the default server has not been specified. Falling back to direct connection. Connected to www.l.google.com. Escape character is '^]'. If people don't leave a default server configured, then it is a deliberate action that doesn't need to cause the issuance of an error message. I used Joachim Breitner's patch locally, modified to get rid of that error message alltogether. Perhaps you want it a configurable "Yes, I really want no default server" that then doesn't issue the warning, but otherwise does? -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.24 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_AU, LC_CTYPE=en_AU (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages tsocks depends on: ii libc6 2.7-9 GNU C Library: Shared libraries tsocks recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
