I tested dpatch 2.0.11.0 from
http://zg.debian.zugschlus.de/zg/pool/main/dpatch/
and it solved the problem, the debian/ directory is now not a dangling
symlink in the dpatch tmp directory anymore, thus the existing patch can
be applied for editing and gets updated when the shell exits.
