Hallo Christian Thanks for the report. Do you know if German characters work if you run from Linux? The reason is that it works fine with Swedish characters and as far as I know they are the same in Sweden and Germany (åäöÅÄÖ). Maybe it is related to windows...
I have also checked with a windows computer and Swedish caracters work fine there as well. Have you installed the proper locales? ISO-8859-1 and UTF-8?
