To #307535 submitters,

Could you please check again that the bug you reported is really still
here with 3.0.14a. According to samba's upstream, the bug has been
fixed in 3.0.13....

If you reproduce it, could you please sun it with smbclient in debug
mode level 10 by running "smbclient -d 10 ...." and send a mail to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] with the output file attached to it so that we
can forward it to upstream.

Many thanks in advance.

Please give as many details as possible such as the remote server
operating system and version.

| Are you aware of such issues in 3.0.14a?

This sounds like https://bugzilla.samba.org/bug/2530
but that was fixed in 3.0.13. The fix was checked
in for r5994 in the SAMBA_3_0 tree.

| Christian, in his efforts to improve communication

| and make Jeremy happy..:-)
|
| (I probably need to figure out better ways to
| "forward" bugs we receive....by "better", I mean better
| than sending mails direct to Jerry...:-)))

Probably the best way is to file a report at
https://bugzilla.samba.org/ and place a reference
to the debian bug report in the URL field.

cheers, jerry

| I can see the content of any directory, but I

|
| I can get a file, but it ends up with a silly name
| (but that might not be something new, or maybe
| it's even intentional, I normally don't get files
| that way):
|
| smb: \> get koda-sys\plader\JBFN0002.DAT
| getting file \koda-sys\plader\JBFN0002.DAT of size 4969733 as
| koda-sys\plader\JBFN0002.DAT (-0.0 kb/s) (average 0.0 kb/s)
|
| It does end up with the name "koda-sys\plader\JBFN0002.DAT",
| so the command "get koda-sys/plader/JBFN0002.DAT" fails.
|
| Newton runs windows 95. I don't see the problem
