Previously when I created a new tab, the location/URL entry box was left blank. I found this very useful, and would frequently select a URL elsewhere, create a new tab in the Epiphany window where I wanted to view it, then middle-click and press enter to load it. Epiphany now instead fills in the URL of my home page (http://www.google.com/). Since I'm used to the old behaviour, I frequently end up looking at pages like http://www.google.com/http://www.example.com, then having to fiddle about with the mouse/keyboard to get where I want. While middle-click pasting may be a minority interest among Epiphany users, the old behaviour also made it easier for less advanced users to click in the entry box and type in a URL manually. (While using control-L pre-selects the current contents so that starting typing will overwrite them, simply clicking in the box doesn't do that, and shouldn't do unless that behaviour is made general in GNOME.) It does seem worth 'special-casing' a new tab this way, as I can't see I'm unique in frequently wanting to visit a URL other than the home page in a new tab. (The home page URL is rather uninformative, compared to later pages which have been actively navigated to -- if someone was genuinely confused as to what their home page's URL is, they could still find it in the preferences).
