Antialising and Hinting don't seem to work properly in this version. (...) The nxtvepg version I used before was fine.
Which versions would these be? This bug refers to a 3.5 years old version of nxtvepg. If you're still using that, please upgrade. Anyways, this is a Tcl/Tk issue, not an nxtvepg issue. Antialiasing is only supported since Tcl/Tk version 8.5 and this version of the library is only supported since nxtvepg version 2.8.0. When using these versions the Tk default font is used (e.g. bitstream vera sans) which looks fine on my system.
