Keep in mind that Sarge is frozen and Steve won't accept big changes anymore.
If your change is harmless on the other hand we could fix the package without
removing bdb support which would be great.

mysql-server 4.0 will not be part of Etch. We will only have mysql-server-5.0
and maybe mysql-server-4.1 (depending on the release date of Etch) there.
