This problem has something to do with the fact that I had to remove the Docs/ directory from the upstream source due to licence issues. It might be that currently after a "make clean" the package is no longer buildable :-) Please unpack the package again, apply the patch and then build. When applying it, please take care if you modify Makefile.in or Makefile.am files. In debian/patches you find the currently used dpatch files.
