Just FYI, I added a feature called "user tags", and this was one of
its main motivating use cases.
You should be able to run
aptitude build-dep foo --add-user-tag-to installed-for-foo-build-dep
"?action(install)"
and then
aptitude purge ?user-tag(installed-for-foo-build-dep)
when you're done.
