file-roller does not handle newer multi-part .rar files (.partNN.rar) correctly. When one opens the first file (.part01.rar) of such an archive ALL files contained in the whole archive should be listed and extracted. However, not all files contained in the archive show up in file-roller but (wild guess) only those that have data in the part that was opened. I noticed this today because I was missing one large file in a certain archive and sure enough if I open one of the later parts it does show up and can be extracted (but of course "previous" files don't). Manipulating the file via the backends rar / unrar (versions below) works correctly. Data loss scenario: 1. Extract files from archive, unknowingly missing some. 2.
