I'd like to point out it's not really unpacking and there are no erros during unpacking (xzvf). > Is the source code package actually correct? Yes, it's correct and it unpacks cleanly and the untarred source code is the same as my source repository (hg clone http://hg.svartech.com/debian/e3.upstream). It looks to me like an odd bug in tar, I'll try to hunt it down...
