I've looked into R-ru.po file, and it has the following line: "Content-Type: text/plain; charset=KOI8-R\n" As you could notice, my locale is UTF-8. But even if I open generated file explicitly specifying KOI8-R encoding (Emacs C-x RET r koi8-r RET yes RET), it still has question marks instead of cyrillics. The file has been corrupted unevitably: these ?s are all actual 3F characters, not that they just been inserted in incorrect encoding. > In any case, those lines in the skeleton file are to indicate the > places that you should edit when creating the documentation.
