Thank you for your patch. However, I'm unsure as to why the .la file is useless on Debian? The Debian Policy manual[0] says: "Packages that use libtool to create shared libraries should include the .la files in the -dev package" So correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the solution to the problem is to simply correct the dependencies of libsynce as I've done[1] and is now pending upload?
