I have no idea how any of this works. I'm just reporting what I'm seeing. Transparency is done via compositing - that pretty much sums up all I know.

I'm running GNOME with xfwm, if that information is useful.


Anything you want me to run, such as debugging software, etc, I'll be happy to.
