Kurt,
What platform was this on? I don't have the same issue on my i386 build
machine. Is there anything unusual about the filesystem on that platform or
how it is mounted? Could you get me a backtrace from the resulting core
dump? Looks like you may need to ulimit -c unlimited first. The coredump
should be in /tmp/something and correspond with the bsdtar_test executable.
