In Debian we have > the tzdata package for this. Well, as I understand it, orage ships its data because it uses libical, and it needs data using the ical format. Basically, upstream said it'd be nice to be able to use directly zoneinfo data, but that it may be hard to do: http://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3834#c2 Stay tuned for this, but don't hold your breath.
