It is indeed dead upstream. I even refrained to upload the latest snapshot (with notices support), because it appeared as a reverse-dependency of rails, and I never had a use case for it with rails. I used libdbi-ruby1.8 with rails. I adopted it back then, because I used it for personal admin scripts. There is also libdbd-pg-ruby1.8 as reverse-dependency. I would go for a total replacement, as this fork is what seems to be used nowadays. Since I do not have the time to investigate, this is why I said that you can do whatever it takes to move on, so feel free to add you as co-maintainer. Cheers, -- .''`.
