Yeah, I realized that it is stupid to build the translations every time while they do not 
change that often. Next release will just package them statically. Idem dito for default 
config files etc. All these files will now be generated when building 
"distmeta" which is triggered before building a source tar ball. That way I 
just have to check if everything was build correctly before releasing.

Btw. working very hard to get the new release out the door within one or two 
weeks, mainly adding tests and cleaning up now. Since this will be the biggest 
diff between versions till now, so I'm getting kind of paranoid about all kinds 
of small bugs that might force me to do additional bug fix releases after the 
main release. I'll keep you updated. If you want a preview have a look at the 
bzr trunk in launchpad.
