This is not related to GCC 4.3, but a side issue of using the "gs_make" wrapper, which does not work with variables whose values have whitespace. Furthermore, using CFLAGS here is bogus as it does not have effect on ObjC code; OBJCFLAGS and OPTFLAG should be used.
