Package: mozilla-plugin-gnash Version: 0.8.2-1 Severity: important I went to Newgrounds, and watched a bunch of animations made using flash, and noticed loads of sound problems seemingly unrelated to each other. In Charlie the Unicorn 2 (http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/435202), the sound was unsynced from the video. In Burnt Face Man 8, (http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/435977), the sound was all staticy and garbled. And in Link's Prize (http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/435405), the sound appeared to work at first. Link screamed, the cow mooed, and it was all synced. That is, til I noticed a user comment that mentioned the background music. Yeah, the background music was completely left out of my viewing experience.
I restarted Iceweasel clearing out my cache and other personal data, and noticed the same error that occurred previously on Burnt Face Man 8. However Link's Surprise did suddenly have music, and the sound effects were still in, so it worked fine. However, Charlie the Unicorn 2 lacked any sound at all this go around. Really, the sound experience on gnash is very inconsistent right now, what with not even being able to recreate errors on the same videos. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.24-1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages mozilla-plugin-gnash depends on: ii gnash 0.8.2-1 free Flash movie player ii libc6 2.7-10 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgcc1 1:4.3.0-3 GCC support library ii libstdc++6 4.3.0-3 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libx11-6 2:1.0.3-7 X11 client-side library ii libxi6 2:1.1.3-1 X11 Input extension library mozilla-plugin-gnash recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- -Will Orr [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
