Hi!

I am a Debian GNU/Linux and LaTeX user from Florence, Italy.
I learnt long ago (from Debian BTS bug #221703 [1]) that you were
planning to release a new version of LaTeX2HTML under the terms of the
GNU GPL v2. This is great, and I therefore asked for an update on the
progress (as you can read in the bug log [1]); I am not the only one
who's looking forward to seeing this happen.

It would be great if you could finalize the new GPL'ed version and
release it. Could you tell us what's the current status of the plan?
Are they any release-blockers left?

Thanks for your effort in letting LaTeX2HTML become Free Software!

P.S.: please note that I am Cc:ing the bug e-mail address, hence this
message is publicly archived in the bug log; please keep the bug in Cc:
so that your reply will be public as well, thanks.
