Snowflake does not have a GNOME menu entry because it does not have a ..desktop file under /usr/share/applications. The attached file placed under that directory will give you a GNOME HIG-compliant menu entry as well as providing menu entries for other freedesktop.org compliant window managers. This is not the same as the Debian menu file/entry, which is basically unused in GNOME (ubuntu doesn't even include it by default, and even in debian, when using GNOME one only goes to the debian menu if one can't find a program where it is supposed to be). -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-6-686 Locale: LANG=en_CA.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_CA.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages snowflake depends on: ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-13etch5 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libglib1.2 1.2.10-17 The GLib library of C routines ii libgtk1.2 1.2.10-18 The GIMP Toolkit set of widgets fo ii libx11-6 2:1.0.3-7 X11 client-side library ii libxext6 1:1.0.1-2 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ii libxi6 1:1.0.1-4 X11 Input extension library snowflake recommends no packages. -- no debconf information
