Works properly here. (Workaround: drag the icon to gxine.)

Have you by any chance told your filer to use "gxine -n"?

If you're too quick about starting a second instance ‒ while the first is
still starting up ‒ this will happen. (I think that your filer is starting up
two copies; could be down to system load and it thinking that the first
attempt failed due to a time-out. Yes, gxine uses startup notification.)
