This problem is fixed in the 1.99 version (released on May 1st). From the changelog of 1.99:
- Handle recent kernels returning "<unsupported>" from the cpu freq scaling_setspeed sysfs entry. It was causing the hibernate script to die prematurely. So I guess that when Martin updates the package to the newest version, he can close the bug. (Should I tag this report as fixed-upstream, or is that the maintainers job?)
