Package: xinetd Version: 1:2.3.14-7 Severity: important
When xinetd is run without -inetd_compat you have to specify flags = IPv6 in xinetd.conf to get the v6 listening socket. This breaks the default behavior of xinetd. It should be fixed by either correcting the patch that added IPv6 for '-inetd_compat' or by adding '-inetd_ipv6' in the init-script even for no INETD_COMPAT usage. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.25.1-vs2.3.x-vs2.3.0.34.9 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.ISO-8859-15, LC_CTYPE=en_US.ISO-8859-15 (charmap=ISO-8859-15) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages xinetd depends on: ii libc6 2.7-10 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libwrap0 7.6.q-15 Wietse Venema's TCP wrappers libra ii netbase 4.32 Basic TCP/IP networking system ii update-inetd 4.30 inetd configuration file updater Versions of packages xinetd recommends: ii logrotate 3.7.1-3 Log rotation utility ii sysklogd [system-log-daemon] 1.5-2 System Logging Daemon -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
