So after testing everything was fine on my ia32 laptop, I tried to debug a bit more on amd64 arch.
I first tried to reproduce the original problem (causing crash on icedove after upgrade) So I purged the 0.8 version, resintalled the previously working 0.7-2 version. Surprise, the extension was not seen/loaded. Suspected my account. Created a brand new one, and run icedove. It found only the openpgp extension as it did on my own account. => help.
